A Warm Welcome to New Students

Kathmandu BernHardt Secondary School & College successfully conducted the Grade XI Orientation Program 2083 on 25th Jestha 2083 (Monday) at its Balkhu premises. The program warmly welcomed newly admitted students into the BernHardt family and introduced them to the institution’s academic culture, environment, and opportunities.

The event was conducted in the gracious presence of Chairman Mr. Bhupesh Chhatkuli, Managing Director Mr. Nab Raj Adhikari, Principal Mr. Purushottam Bista, Vice Principal Mr. Shiva Ram Rijal, Administrative Head Mr. Ram Chandra Thapa, coordinators, faculty members, students, and parents.

The formal inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chairman along with other directors, followed by the National Anthem. Executive Director and Principal Mr. Purushottam Bista delivered the welcome speech, encouraging students to remain disciplined, dedicated, and goal-oriented throughout their academic journey.

Students were also introduced to the teaching and administrative staff of both Morning and Day shifts. Vice Principal Mr. Shiva Ram Rijal conducted the orientation and oath-taking session, where students received important information regarding class schedules, transportation facilities, uniforms, punctuality, discipline, and academic expectations.

Cultural Performances and Student Participation

The orientation program was further energized with a variety of cultural performances presented by talented students. The School Orchestra delivered a musical performance, while Aakriti Pokhrel and Aakriti KC presented a traditional Newari dance. Similarly, Prakriti Waiba and her group performed a mixed Nepali dance, followed by a lively Jhaure dance by Pooja Bhandari and her group.

Managing Director Mr. Nab Raj Adhikari delivered an inspiring motivational speech encouraging students to work hard, utilize opportunities effectively, and actively participate in both academic and extracurricular activities.

The program also featured speeches by Head Boy Ronish Shreshtha from Grade XII Management and newly admitted student Sumnima Shrestha, who shared encouraging messages and excitement on behalf of the students.

One of the major highlights of the event was the Talent Hunt session for newly admitted Grade XI students, where students confidently showcased their talents, creativity, and enthusiasm. The formal program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Bhupesh Chhatkuli.

Following the formal session, students enjoyed food distribution and DJ music, creating an interactive and joyful atmosphere among the newly admitted students.

Beginning of a New Academic Journey

During the announcement session, students were informed that Grade XI classes for both Science and Management streams would commence from Asar 1. Information regarding class timings, transportation services, uniforms, and the availability of books was also shared.

The successful completion of the Grade XI Orientation Program 2083 reflects Kathmandu BernHardt’s commitment to providing a welcoming, disciplined, and academically enriching environment for students.
